Where is that portage?"
"Big Agony" is between Sunday Lake and Meadows Lake enroute to Agnes. "Little Agony", between Meadows and Agnes, is just as rocky but a little shorter (~140 rods vs ~190 rods).

The North Portage from Sunday to Basswood was even wetter--the hilly sections were flowing like a trout stream."
It's the worst I've ever seen. I've got a full crew of guys working on it currently and I'll be out there myself this next week. Lots of rock turnpike to build. Then it will be a ton of check dams.
