Talked to them in the past and always very friendly and cordial.

They called back and yes it has gone astray - so now with CC info and passport info could be in the wrong hands.

Oh well they were very nice and gave me a fax number and will work with me to get it in time for my trip.

Do you know they actually received it, for sure? Could it have gone astray before it even got there? My own experience and reading of others here and on other boards makes me think something is off.

Fortunately or unfortunately, pretty sure they don't charge your card till about the day the mail the pass but you could check your charges and see if perchance they ran it.

No answer again today - but did allow me to leave a message. I am guessing it has to do with my 11 yr olds birth certificate that has an official seal but came from hospital not the county/state.

I would definitely call though, I have never waited more than 5 weeks for an RABC and usually it is closer to 3 weeks. I do typiclaly get them in the spring so maybe they don't have as many requests going on?

A few years back there was Canadian rollign p[ostal worker strike and I know some RABCs were affected by that, but you are goign on 8-9 weeks now?

Correct-today is Canada Day so wait and try again tomorrow.

I tried the toll free number and it said the mailbox was full and would not let me add a message. It did have the right message so I guess Ill try the other number.

Edit: No answer there either but.... I now remember that today is a holiday in Canada so I will have to wait

I have been waiting since May 1 for my permit. I cant seem to find a contact number to find out the status and I am planning on going to Quetico at the end of the month. I have had no problems in the past and am a US resident/citizen with a passport.

Any idea or contact numbers I could try?
