Going up to Malberg on Friday to fish for some walleyes.

Should I bring in minnows since leeches will be hard to come by?

If so, how do you transport minnows, what kind should I buy AAAAAND where should I buy them (permit in tofte, entry at 37)??

Not doing the artificial vs live debate.... i bring enough of both to satisfy both arguments ;)

thanks guys

minnows are the way to go from now on.
the water is cooling and the fish will be concentrating on minnows.

You may want to take some small suckers, chubs, or rainbows with you and use them with an eighth ounce jig.

Call Mike's Holiday Station in Tofte and see if they handle minnows.

If not, you may have to skip over to Grand Marais and go to Mike's Holiday there, Bucks Hardware, or the Beaverhouse.

If that won't work for you, pick them up in Two Harbors on the way through.

Better hoof it to Mike's in Tofte. I will be going into Bog on Friday and I plan on buying all their minnows if I get there first...

Just Kidding! Have a great trip!
