We're heading up to EP 38 this weekend, and thinking of camping on Smoke or Burnt to avoid crowds.

Which of those 3 lakes will be the most productive? No trophies, just good eaters.

This one is easy! they are equal. Sawbill,Smoke and Burnt this time of year are about the same. However you may not get the solitude that you may think. Flame lake is just as good also.

We changed to EP 39, since so many permits were pulled for 38 this weekend. We'll scout out sites on Burnt and perhaps end up at Flame.

Sawbill Outfitters said the fishing reports are still good so far. Hopefully the rain will hold off this weekend...
