We're planning an early June trip next year to the Knife area and places nearby. We'll have a few newbies who want to catch fish and we've never been to this part of the park. Any reason to go other than the places listed in the title? Kek, Eddy, etc south of Knife instead of going north and east?
We'd probably start at Moose and end there too. I've taken June trips both west and SE of this area but never here. Any spots to check out or lakes to avoid? Smallies, walleye, lakers, pike. Grand slam for the week would be great but not a deal breaker.

Knife has everything you'd want -- big pike, big bass, plentiful trout, and walleyes. It also has lots of people, but that can be minimized (sometimes) if you head farther east.
Ottertrack has the same species. I find them a little harder to track down there, but that could just be me.
