hey guys I need some info on what type of fly patterns to bring up for the BWCA around June 19th to June 29th. I notice there are many hatches of may flies of various colors and black flies. So far I purchased some poppers, terristrial flies, streamers and wooly buggers. Are there any other types of fly pattern I should consider? I'm focusing mostly on smallmouth bass though I would like to go for notherns, Im clueless about tippet and how to go about fishing for them. The area Im heading to is EP 52 Brant lake, Ogish, kekebabec, fraser, little sag and back to brant.

Sounds like you're on a good start. I can tell you what has worked for me- cork poppers, clouser minnows, wooly buggers, crazy dads, white zonkers, muddler minnows, and various crayfish. Orvis' Gulley Worm is something I'd like to try too, but I haven't bothered yet.
Size the fly to the fish/depth. Personally, bigger is better. You shouldn't need, for smallies, thinner than a 1X tippet. I always thought terrestrials were more for stream smallies, but I was told to have some large mayflies w/ me (hex's I think) just in case a large hatch came off.

Don't forget a white or chartruese leech pattern for those fun northerns... Good luck!

What about wire leaders? Should I just get like a 30lb monofilament line for the leader instead of a wire leader?

I used lightweight saltwater wire I think it was 18 lb or something like that to tie to my flies and then to a very small swivel when fishing for northerns... of course northerns can hit anytime you fish...

I was up in early June and caught a ton of smallies on bluegill poppers. Anything yellow was working.

I really like the Dahlberg Diver. I use long hair-a-bou for pike and maribou for smalies. White, Chartruse, Black and Brown for colors. I also like using a Hair Water Pup for a leech / worm pattern worked deeper.
