I'd like to drag around a spinner of some sort with a leech when search for spots to slip bobber, TGO, or jig. Trying to put a leech on a multi-hook worm harness has certainly got to bring a tangled mess....So what kind of spin jig is best for using with leeches?

Underspin like Roadrunners? "Overspin" like Beetle Spin? In-line like Little Joe single hook?

Appreciate any input.

Thanks.

Single hook spinner rig behind a bottom bouncer(I use a snap in place pencil style). Don't touch the rod until it is loaded!

Is that sort of "lindy rig" style set-up? I ask because I've use that sort of arrangement that I put together but was never really sure I was trolling slow enough to tick bottom. I know it's a good set-up if you do it right :)

Sort of
You have to go fast enough to get the blade spinning some
You can either put your rod in a holder or hand hold it
Just lower your rod tip back occasionally to make sure your near bottom.

I don't use a spinner usually. But if I was to...it would just be an inline one you'd use with a bead or two or three. You can buy them pre-rigged or buy the pieces and make it yourself.

But usually I'm just sinker, bead, swivel, line leader, hook, leech. (in that order)

One of my main go to is a lindy rig with a spinner with a leech using either a walking sinker or a bottom bouncer to get on or near the bottom. The only fish I haven't caught with that rig is a lake trout, but then I've never fished for lake trout with that rig either.

I make my own spinner rigs for minnows, leeches, and crawlers. I have matching beads with the spinner blades. So single hook for minnows or leeches, double hook for crawlers. I tie them with Fluorocarbon line and put a loop on the end. Finally I use a 1/4 Oz keel sinker to the rig. They are deadly for walleye and Pike. I have 6 main colors on the hologram spinner blade.
