For the past 6 years, my church group has taken father-son groups up to the Ely area for a week of fishing. Our groups have always been too large to go into the BWCA so we've camped at other areas, such as Fenske Lake, Fall Lake, Moose Lake, and the past three years at Bear Head Lake State Park. We fish surrounding lakes in Superior NF and have done well over the years with bass and northerns, but have not had success with walleyes. We are coming up June 3 and would like some hints on some good walleye lakes and fishing tips.
