We are heading to knife lake on the first week aug. We hope to spend 4-6 days fishing there. This is our first trip to the bw, so any ideas are welcome.
1. What can we expect to be biting in aug. if anything?

i marked a spot on the lower arm of knife where we caught a lot of walleye last year...it was june so they might not be there in august but id definitely give it a try. check out the map on this web site and you will see the spot. white lead heads with a white twister tail tipped with a leach worked the best..sometimes no leach worked good as well ....good luck
