Great pics, i once caught a 21" large mouth with a 10" catfish sticking out of his mouth. I actually snagged the fish in the dordal fin. It was a chore to get the fish in but what a blast. I released him with the catfish stuck in his throat. Could not get it out.

Nice Video... That has happened to me quite a bit in the Bdubs, but the pike always grabbed the fish crosswise...typical pike maneuver.

Well....I hate to tell you this but that was not a legal catch. But pretty funny.

Legal catch? I guess that pike didn't read the rules. I also read one of the comments posted on the youtube site itself that questioned wheather it was 'staged' or not....commented that the pike wasn't moving much...I don't know. I do know that I sure wouldn't want to shove a wally down a pike's gullet just to scam a video.

Anybody else think it was staged?

I go to Lake St. Joseph in northern Ontario every year. Anyway one year I was fishing with a guide and I caught a ???16 in ??? walleye. on the way to the boat I had a ???? 40 in ?? northern come in and snag it sideways. fought it to the boat and it let go. I casted the walleye out three times same result. Never landed it but the guide said it happens rarely. One year in the dubs we were fishing smallmouth below some rapids and my friend pulled in a nice northern that attacked his smallmouth, we landed both on shore. and ate the pike.

that is exactly how I caught my beast. I dont doubt that that is staged. Althought that pike isnt moving to terribly much.
I dont see how one could confuse the tell tail walleye tail for a bass.

that happened to my dad. he had an eater walleye on and a 45" or so pike bit onto it. he lost the pike at the edge of the canoe.

That has happened to me a couple of times. The last time I had a smallie on and suddenly it just seemed to quit fighting. I thought it had wrapped around a rock or a tree limb or something. Turned out to be this guy, not even that big, really.

I also had this happen to me on my last trip. I was just fooling around on an island. I think it was on Fourtown, Anyway I was just catching a bunch of little fish. I hooked one, and was pulling it in, when all the sudden line just started spooling off my reel. Eventually, I got him up to the bank, but had no way to get him in. I yanked on the pole hoping to flip him in the boat, but he let go. It was a very nice sized northern. I didn't get a picture of the northern, but heres the bait :)
