I'm need to pick up some leaders and was wondering if anyone had a specific brand/size they prefer. I'm thinking of grabbing a pack or 2 of these. They're pretty inexpensive compared to others, but wondering if they'll hold up. Going to be spending most of my time fishing smallies and walleye, but will go after northern from time to time. Thinks these will do just fine?

Nylon-Coated Wire Leaders (I figure 30lb would be fine, right?)

Leaders have not left my main tackle box in 15 years. Definitely do not need them for Walleye and Bass and I'll take my chances with the occasional Pike. Just my opinion though.

Walleye won't hit leaders there to finicky And you wont need them for bass there teeth are not sharp enough but, it's a no brainier for pike 6"-9" black not silver

I agree with bassmaster and eguy, I never use a leader unless Im trolling for northern, which isnt very often.

I use the ones that are invisi-something. Much thinner and darker; I like to think the fish don't see them as well. When I am trolling I (almost) always use one to protect against a pike eating my rapala, and I don't think it bothers walleyes when the lure is on the move. If they have a chance to examine it, however, like when you are jigging or bobbering, a walleye will turn up its nose at a leader. Anyway, I'd get something less visible.
