For the first time in several years I won't be headed into Q. I'm taking a client, who wouldn't handle the park very well, up to fish La Croix (Canadian side).

Anyone have any advice or general comments about the fishing on La Croix? We will be catch and releasing (cept for a lunch or two) and targeting sm, eyes and some big northern.

Thanks in advance.

There are a lot of smallmouth in that lake that would be considered ENOURMOUS anywhere else. Tubes, grubs, skitter-pops, etc. Try near weeds.

I would agree. From years past I have caught some monster smallies on Loc La Croix.

We (5)will be up there the first week in August camping on the islands South of Warrior Hill on the US side. I, like you, hope to have some luck with smallies, eyes, and N's. Thanks for the thread.
