I purchased a new Lazer auger this winter and it was not the same quality product as my old lazer auger was. Long story short... I contacted them and it turns out the blades on my new auger were made in China, not Sweden. The company backed their product and sent me new blades that were made in Sweden. So, for all the Bdub ice fishermen out there when you buy replacement blades for your lazer hand auger make sure they are the blades made in Sweden, not China. There is a huge difference.

Right on....the swedish blades are much better. I had the other blades on my Lazermag last year and actually had to lift up on the auger while cutting. I think there was a greater pitch on the China blades which caused the auger to grab too much. As in your case they sent me out a set of replacement blades.

Red blades cut faster and make a cleaner hole than any other color.
