I know this is the fishing forum and I have been coming up to Ely to fish for the last 16 years. I stay at Veterans on the Lake Resort and have been to alot of places up there in the Backwaters for alot of years. My question is where is Kawishiwi River Falls? The say it is east of Ely? Can someone send me a map or give me directions from Ely?

If they are the ones I think you're talking about? They're right where the Kawishiwi River enters Fall Lake. Just drive north up Hwy 169 through Ely a few miles, watch for signs. (If I remember right the sign says Kawishiwi Falls hiking trail????) It will be on your left. If you go past the Fall Lake campground, you've gone too far. There's a small parking lot, then a short hike to the falls.

TB is right, if you're staying at Veterans you're probably less than 5 minutes from the lot. It's relatively new, the lot, signage, and trail have probably only been there for a couple of years.
