"preserved" baits. everything from shad to worms. i forget the brand but do remember them being from wisconsin (an no....no cheese flavored ones).

has anyone seen or used these before?

I've used the shad before, someone left some at work and I ran off with them, they worked pretty well for northerns. No different than fresh dead minnows.

I saw those at the Farm too. It said something on the packaging like "Don't squeeze me, I'm real". I thought they looked pretty good for being dead.

I've used the Great Lakes shiners ( real ) from Wal-Mart & had great success with them when tipped on a jig & grub combo for Walleyes... not in the bwca but in the heavily fished lakes in Manitoba.

I saw them at Cabelas in Rogers to. They had all sorts of colors and leeches too. The leeches didn't look as good and preserved as the shads though.

yea,m I work in the fishinbg department at the rogers location. those leeches look NASTY.
