Going to perent lake for the first time. Looking a good camp site and fishing holes. Have my grandpa coming along. So fishing from camp would be nice for him. Any camps that have great fishing in front of camp on perent.

The first island camp site out of hog creek is pretty good. Other wise stick to the right hand shore as you exit the creek. The are numerous good sites over there. And most on the right hand shore offer good fishing from camp. Check a contour lake map for sites that have deeper water right off shore.
Have fun and good luck!

Hope you don't mind me butting in, but I too am heading there, however it will be around the first week in August. Since I have never been there, I was wondering what your thoughts were? I hope they get enough rain this year since I am bringing in some little kids and first timers and I am not sure how deep this hog creek is.

Hog Creek is deep enough to usually have a good amount of water. There will be a few beaver dams in which you may have to do pull overs. There is a small bay at the NE end of the lake. We had some pretty good fishing there for Smallies and Wallies.
Sit back, relax, have a home brew.
