Need some help, can anyone let me know what type of fishing I can expect on Meed and surrounding lakes? I will be with my family, so I will be needing to stay close....Meed lake looks to shallow to hold good sized northerns??? How about panfish?

No panfish up here.

Meeds and Caribou both have nice bass, small northerns, and nice little walleyes.

I've had success on Meeds fishing not too far off the western shore of the eastern island; also the .5 mile stretch of shoreline just east of the portage to Swallow. Mostly small walleyes and small northerns.

Henson Lake (3 portages south) has been good to us for northerns, maybe better sized fish than Meeds. We had success trolling a Mepps Syclops.

Good Luck!
