We are looking to base camp for a few days on either Gun (by LLC) or Takucmich Lake. Does anyone on the board have any fishing knowledge they can provide before we depart on Sunday?

I know both lakes are deep and clear and hold Lake Trout and SMB. Anybody got any thing to add?

I spied Takucmich before. I think the lack of replies tells you this lake doesn't get many visitors. Looks serene on a map, probably better in person.

There are trout and lots of good bass in Takumich, brookies in Trygg, and the most smallies per gallon I've ever seen in Trillium. It is absolutely full. There are some real nice bass in LLC in that area as well.

Spent a full 2 days fishing gun 4 years ago in june and caught 1 laker about 4 pounds and had another nice one up to the canoe. From there went to trygg and did decent on brook trout just using a hook and corn, really nice lake.
