Anyone care to share fishing spots on Ogish or surrounding lakes? We really watch catch some walleyes and lake trout! Heading out on the water on June 8th for a Ogish base camp trip. Also we are looking for a killer island campsite for the week... Any suggestions?

if fishing is important to you i would keep going into knife( you will have 4 very short portages and 3 small lakes before you hit knife) its short work to get into one of the best lakes in minnesota. the falls from eddy lake to knife there is a campsite to the left and 2 around the first bay to the right which is where i have stayed many times but i'm fishing opener (not this year) any lake you fish for the first time always takes sometime to figure it out and every year can be different. but we have always done good from shore or the canoe. theres alot of wood piles in knife great smally fishing. just be quiet and keep a little distance out from the wood piles.
