It is a great search lure, and is really one of the easiest lures in the book to use. Depending on time of year I run paralell to the shorline and postion the canoe or boat so im casting into shallow water and bringing it back out deep, works great over rocks and rock rubble and over submerged weedbeds. You dont have to guess if you have a fish on because they hit it like a mack truck. If your on a lake with pike in it use a leader because Pike hit it like the lure said something about their momma. If your fishing a reef, circle around the the reef on the edge of it and cast up onto the reef, if the fish are active you will know in a hurry. Just make sure with this lure that your ready to reel as soon as the lure hits the water because it sinks fast and will snag often if you dont keep it moving. Blue silver works great for clear water, if your fishing tannin (iron) looking water or murky water use a crayfish or fire tiger colored one. Fish hammer this lure so hang on and good luck fishing.
