Any updates on the fishing here? Any good spots on the lake? What methods work well here? Would square lake be a good place to try too? Thanks

Been through it, but never fished it. An extra portage to Kawaschong (sp) would be worth it for sure though.

I never fish this lake, I am usually just paddling through.

I was just up there each of the last 2 weekends. This was my 4th year camping at the campground on Kawishiwi Lake and this was the worst time I've had fishing there. Since I'm gone now I'm sure it has picked right up :)

This past weekend (23rd) I fished w/ my 11 year old nephew and all we managed were a few small northern, perch, and a sucker.

The weekend before (16th) we didn't fish hardly at all. The 6 month old lab did not like it when we stopped the canoe to fish and wanted to "help" :( my 7 and 4 year old daughters.
