Question to the locals..... Will I be able to find anyone selling leeches around the 15th of September when I put in on the Grand Marais side? If so, where is the best place? Never fished with live bait before and would love to try my hat with it. Thanks in advance.

In Grand Marais you have Mike's Holiday, Buck's Hardware, and the Beaverhouse.

All three handle live bait.

Call them before coming up, and make sure they will have them. Mid September is not a great time of year to find leeches.

You may have to find a source along the way. Fisherman's Corner by Duluth (Pike Lake) will most likely still have them.

This may be out of your way, depending where you are coming from.
