Leaving for crooked lake via mudro ep 23 tomorrow. Anyone been in the area lately ? What kind of depths are they hanging out at these days.

I was catching them on the bottom about 12 to 15 feet or so. I was a bit West of you though so it could be a bit different.

My experience in September is that we find them fairly shallow in the morning and evening. Then, during the day we find them 15-25 foot diving cranks.

I was on Kawnipi until last Friday. We caught them there in 12-20' of water, on the bottom with Slimers or Gulp. Picked two up with cranks at similar depth. Orange bottomed jointed cranks seemed to work best for trolling. All others caught Lindy rig style with black immitation leeches.
