I have never fished that area but you can pretty muchly be asured that moving, well, oxygenated water means FISH, usually below a falls in the spring means lots of fish provided there's fairly deep water behind the falls, a water fall usually sucks smaller fish over injuring some which of course means easy pickings for the bigger fish below. Always plan on hitting the water below a falls,,, but always wear your PFD. FRED

Last summer I saw quite a few people fishing below the falls as we passwd by. Looked fishy to me. There is a lot of current you may even find fish near breaks quite a ways from the falls.

We have camped two times on Cache Bay near the falls. Both times we fished the channel above the falls. Had good luck for SM. Never fished below the falls.

As I remember after Silver Falls you have a pretty rough stretch of water. It may be difficult to get to a fishing spot just below these big falls. When you get to the end of the portage below the falls, the water is swift but not in a pool like many below falls pools that hold a lot of SM.

Last year I caught a 29 inch walleye in the relatively shallow water of the outflow at Silver Falls. It really surprised me but from that point until you get back into the big part of Saganagons is great for Walleye.
