Our party is planning on going up to the BWCA in late August. What lakes near Ely have the best fishing that time of year? (Fall, Gabro, Bass, Mudro, Basswood, or any other?)

Hard to beat Basswood any time of the year.

Thank you, Walllee. We are starting from Fall Lake. I was hoping to avoid lakes that allow motors. Also, if we choose this route, do you know how long it would take to get to Basswood from there
