Anyone else worried about this invasive species? I know the Asian Carp is hitting closer to home currently but I feel like not enough people are aware of this fish and its capabilities.

Snakeheads are vicious predators that could wipe out the populations of the fish we know and enjoy in short order. From what I understand, they eat anything and reproduce like crazy. Once they wipe out all other species in a body of water, they self maintain because they are canabalistic.

If this video of a snakehead destroying a pike doesn't worry you:

Then this video of ignorant fisherman excited and happy to have the snakehead around should:

People complain abouth the smallmouth bass being an invasive species. Just imagine what would happen if a few of these made it into the BWCA.

I believe it will take the efforts of dedicated outdoorsman like the ones found on this website if we are to preserve the waters we love for our children.
