That sounds like a question for the 8 Ball.

Here we go (shake, shake, shake) and the answer is

outlook not so good.

There you have it. Looks like fishing will be tough.

The fishing was tough early last year. I think we need a lot of warming up before the fishing will be good.

If anyone has been up, let us know how you did.

Just got back yesterday. Fished Thurs - Sat on Kawasachong Lake (near EP37). I was 0-0. The guys camped on the other side of the lake were not doing so well either. I don't know if it was me, the lake we were on or the tackel I was using. For me the fishing was not so good. I'll be looking forward to later in the summer when I'll be on some better know fish waters off the Echo Trail.

I didn't think the fish would be moving much yet. I was in northern Wisconsin over the weekend and the fish were really not moving there either. I surface temp just got to 60 degrees on Sunday.

The water is still pretty cold in the BW I would imagine. Thanks for the update.

Has anyone else been up yet? Please post!

You can get a pretty good fishing report at the following web site:

Just got back from Thursday Bay and the fishing was great; just as it always is up there.
Pink jig and Rainbow chub.

We fished the currents on Crooked Lake 05-20thru05-28.We had slow fishing-by my standards-caught a few nice walleyes.Curious if this area is normally better it seemed like the locals fish this alot.We are considering going back in Sept.

I was fishing just outside the BWCAW last weekend and thought the fishing was great in the shallows (where it's been warming up) for bass, pike, and walleyes. For what that's worth.
