OH HOW THIN GS CHANGE. THERE WERE NO RESTRICTIONS IN 1960.. ON THE OPENER WE WOULD CATCH NICE WALLEYES WITH SLIP BOBBERS IN THE CORRIDOR AREA AND I THINK FISHING WAS BETTER YEARS AGO. JAMES BAY IS A FAVORITE HAUNT OF MINE FOR NORTHERNS EARLY ON. HORSESHOE ISLAND IS GREAT FOR MANY REASONS, GOOD STRUCTURE AND WIND PROTECTION WHEN IT GETS ROUGH. ALSO A GREAT AREA FOR EARLY LAKERS. THE BEAUTY OF THIS LAKE IS BEYOND DESCRIPTION AND HOPEFULLY THE BWCA WILL KEEP IT PRESERVED.
