Need help for dad

I just posted this on the trip forum but want help from the fisherman who don't look there.

My dad and I have been going to vermilion for the last 24 years and we just found out the house is no longer available for rent. He stays at the cabin and fishes while I go out and play in the BW. I'm looking for a good lake around Ely with no motor restrictions. I have found homes on Eagles Nest 1 & 2, White Iron chain, Bear Island and Burntside.
He loves to fish for crappie, bluegill and bass with small jigs. According to the DNR lake info eagles nest has a great number of gills. Does anyone have any knowledge on which lake would be best for him.
