I will be in the Boulder Bay area of LLC in late July. Wondering about good fishing spots for walleye, pike, lake trout.

The cove towards the north west side of Boulder Bay (with the 5* campsite)has some BIG northerns lurking in it. We also did well in Tiger Bay. Around the little islands and rock piles scattered on the way up the lake from boulder bay to the pictographs, the bass are plentiful. A northern or two there as well. For a unique fishing experience, watch for the schools of mooneyes that roam that area sucking bugs off the surface in the evening.

Have fun!

Mooneye p.s. They are fun on a small flyrod especially the ones in the St Croix River.

Mooneye fight like tiny tarpon or Blue Angels with fins.
