First time posting!!!
Dropping in this Thursday for an annual trip with 6 friends from college. We are hoping to base camp on either Jordan or Ima and spend three days fishing walleyes.
Our group is a nice combination of guys who troll/cast and guys who jig. Any advice for what has been working on these lakes would be greatly appreciated.
Also, any advice on camp sites with decent fishing or just great spots?
Thanks for the help!

Either the furthest north, or furthest south campsites on Jordan are great campsites. The island site on Ima is also a nice site.
Jordan lake is a nice lake. Cattyman Falls, between Gibson and Cattyman lakes is a nice place to visit for a short day trip.
There are good fishing opportunities on both lakes. Ima will be slightly tougher to fish if you're unfamiliar with the lake just because of it's size and depth.
As for fishing: I was there a month ago and had some good luck with walleyes and Northern Pike in various areas of the lake. Nothing huge, but fun and good eating size fish. Didn't have much luck fishing from camp, though. We used Rapala's, Mepps, Tube baits and leeches with a slip bobber. I'd suggest starting out trolling with Raps, or casting with spinners, till you find 'em, then start working those areas with other baits. The fish are there, but finding them will depend on the conditions when you're there.

Hatchet for sure. Campsite on the north side of Ima was awesome years ago stay there if it is still in service. High and dry with great vistas. Fishing where the hatchet blade attaches to the handle was awesome years ago. Limits of eyes three days in a row in about 30 minutes for four of us it was a hoot. Had a 20 lb pike attacking our walleyes as we brought them in one day, absolute mayhem.

quote TallMatt: "Anyone ever fish on Cattyman? DNR Lakefinder said it holds walleyes... It seems like everybody just travels through it. Might be fun to fish it if you're camped nearby."
I tried Cattyman and Gibson in mid June. Didn't fish either very hard and had no luck on eye's in either one. But, I had some fun with smallies in Gibson just below the falls.
