Very good walleye and smallie lake, they tend to run small though. Good boat launch also. Its been awhile since I fished it so maybe someone has been there more recently than I have.

Ed Shave Lake once harbored some decent size northerns, some even trophy size. The DNR in their wisdom decided to start stocking it with walleyes.I like walleyes, but why destroy a lake? This destroyed the entire population of northerns. Now it's an average-decent walleye lake. You'll catch eating size walleyes and won't see a soul. And that boat launch? Another waste of our tax money.Ok, sorry about my rant. Ed Shave can be a tough lake to fish as it is a very clear lake.

Thanks guys. Always thought it was a cool lake driving above it . I noticed on the dnr lake survey the walleye top out around 19" and no northerns... thanks again

Fished it for a few hours last September both trolling bottom bouncer worms and hard baits with not a single bite.
