Going in Friday with my 17 yr old son and three of his buddies. It would be great if I could lead them to some good smallie or walleye spots. We will be camping on Lake Two for three nights and day tripping. Any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

We camped and fished on Lakes 3 and 4, 2 weeks ago and did well fishing. It was our first time in the area and my recommendation for you guys is to try and camp somewhere in the islands on the SE side of 3 for more fishing opportunities regardless the wind. And it will give you a little more seclusion than the main bodies of these busy lakes. From Lake One EP you can paddle and portage all the way to Lake Four in less then 4 hrs. We brought leeches and almost ran out jigging for walleye. And most of the bass were caught on topwater.
If you email me I can tell you specific spots we found productive.
Good Luck

I would say if you are going in with a group of 17 year olds you should go just a little farther in to the Lake 4 and Hudson area. Seems to be better fishing there, maybe less people go there so less pressure? Anyway, I agree with isleroyaleguy, leeches and topwater. But I would also add some soft plastic swimbaits and or flukes.

Don't forget to sneak over to Horseshoe for some fishing, just saying.

If someone were to go over to Horseshoe, what areas would you focus on and would this be a wallie adventure or a smallie adventure?

You'll find both there, but the smallies were a blast! Drag some leeches through the narrows where the lake makes it's bend, you'll find them.
