Wallidave, so you actually carry the shelving from the picture with you to the BWCA and set it up in camp? Interesting idea.

I'm pretty much down to jig/plastic combos and cranbait/minnowbaits.

I can rip a 4" plastic minnow on a 3/8" head in 30 f.o.w. or twitch a floating rap on the surface...comb a 15' ledge with a swimbait and 3/4 oz head, work a 1/8oz mushroom head and 4" worm in 4 f.o.w. or bang bottom in 35' with a TDD 11 on 10# braid.

I fill two medium plano boxes with jigs and crankbaits and a gallon zip lock full of various plastics and rarely touch 1/3 of the tackle.

It's just what works for me.

Me too, Arlo...except I stopped bringing the 2/3 I never used! 2 each of 4 different cranks... 20 each 1/16, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 5/8 oz round jig heads and 3 3/4 oz and 3 1oz shad heads... and about a lb. of soft plastics... and a couple of 5/0 EWG wormhooks(for experimental rigging of plastics).

I pour my own jigs, and use the largest hooks I can possibly get in the mold (except 1/16oz, I pour a few with rec. size... in case panfish are targeted). (I stopped bringing spinnerbaits because I catch just as many fish on a swim bait (1oz. with a 4-6 in. body) and get a better hookset... don't know why, just me).

That is pretty much what I carry too.

Pay no attention to the large Kalin jig heads and saltwater swim baits.

Those are some nice setups that put mine to shame. I'll show my wife these pictures. It will put things in perspective for her ;)

This is what I had on the last trip and I thought I pared it down a lot. Ended up using about 3/4 of it so will be refining yet again for the next trip.

Wallidave - That is awesome! :)

After my last trip this July, I concur with Arlo. My 12 year old son and I had all the action we could handle on various swimbaits. Rigged and presented in all sorts of ways and colors and the SM loved it. Somehow it is just too hard to leave the old favorites behind. Have never thrown a buzzbait in the BW, but it is my favorite LM lure and I can't leave home without a white and a black one. All the jig heads...never have used 1/3 of what I carry. Never know, may run into someone who needs a couple.

Had two of four reels fail and couldn't repair in the field. That has never happened before.

Everything I need fits in this. If I didn't jig for Lakers occasionally I would not need such a giant tackle box.
