Hi all, my wife and I are heading up to the BWCA this weekend and I'd really like to get a fish locator to help keep the action up. We'll be walleye fishing in rather deep water and I'd like to be able to get a frame of reference for where we are on the lake, depths, dropoffs, etc.
This is obviously asking a lot, but if anyone in the Twin Cities area would be willing to let us borrow a Marcum Showdown (or similar) I would greatly appreciate it. I have a Marcum LX7 for ice fishing but would prefer a handheld, AA/AAA powered locator for portability and ease of use in a canoe.
I'd be willing to put down a "down payment" of whatever makes you comfortable, say 100 bucks? We're currently renovating our house and I don't need another locator that I would use only once or twice a year. Thanks in advance!
Regards,
