After reading a post a while back about catching and eating crawdads, it sparked some interest. I was thinking of bringing in a collapsible trap to see if I could wrangle up a few mudbugs if only for an appetizer while preparing the evening meal. Anyone know how long these guys are active in the BW before the cold shuts them down. We'll be doing a loop from EP14 to EP16 Sept 15-19th. Water temps should still be conducive to my hairbrained plan, wouldn't you say??

No clue on the crawdads, but we're doing the opposite trip on the exact same days. Maybe we'll run into your party on Oyster or Hustler.

I'm bringing a minnow trap and hoping to catch some as well. We're going in from 9/12-9/18 in the Basswood Lake area. I've been curious about this for years. Tried in the spring, but didn't catch a thing.
