Lake Trout in Carp LAKE?

Is there lake trout in carp lake? We passed through there last time on the way to knife and everyone we talked to said no, but I read somewhere on here there was... Anyone have a definitive answer?

If there are LT in Carp Lake, the US side is too shallow to support them. I'm not sure about depth in the northern most section of Carp Lake.

Canadian side is where I know a few been caught. I caught a total of one there. This was in the winter. But I know of a few others caught over the years.

Still wondering who named the lake Carp?
