I AM PLANNING A TRIP MID JULY AND HAVEN'T FISHED THESE LAKES BEFORE.
TARGETING BIG PIKE SMALL MOUTH AND MAYBE SOME WALLEYE, ANY INFO WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

Loon Lake that goes into Lac LaCroix?? There's boats in there you know, but then there's A LOT of people on Sawbill too, so pick your poison.

I've done very good fishing Loon for nice walleyes and bass, but other than a few mid-size bass and some eater walleyes I've never caught anything big out of Sawbill, but in all fairness maybe because I don't fish it so much as I just try to paddle through on my way to further destinations. I think you'd do better for big pike on Loon and surrounding lakes...especially LaCroix or Shell.

Why are those the choices? Accessibility? I vote Loon/Little Loon.

I am trying to plan A trip for me and three of friends, they are inexperienced and i don't want to push them too hard. I think I've pushed people to travel further than they would have liked in the past and it made the trip less enjoyable for them. I'd like everyone to see how great it is to get off of the beaten path and experience having some space and some great fishing. Sawbill and loon wouldn't have worked out Thanks for the input and any suggestions would be really helpful.
