Will entering ep16 in a couple of weeks for a 7 day 3 generation trip as highsch grad present for grandson, his 1st time into bwca. My son & I haven't been to this area for quite a few years. We will be there for the fishing, so I generally like to base camp & day trip. Any recent trippers that could share info: good sites, fishing spots, tackle, water levels, general advice. We also fly fish, so will do some of that also and would appreciate advice on that also. thanks

We just got out of that area exactly a month ago. So the fishing report is probably a bit old but take a look at our trip report here.

Also, in the comments below it I list the campsite numbers. We managed to get some very nice ones. In general, we did well on the north end of Agnes, Boulder River/Bay, and Iron. If you get to Iron, check out Curtain Falls and fish from shore in the rapids/pools below.

I also was there about five weeks ago. Great entry. Get to the to the top of Agnes or onto LLC and go have fun.

Look for my recent trip report, too.

We were there three weeks ago. LLC to Tachumich and the lakes south. Great area, no one there and portages not terrible. It took us 6 hours from EP 16 to Snow Bay if you are considering that route. Fishing wonderful and no one around...except for Canadians in motorboats. Canadians...

You must mean ep14 (lis) and not ep 16 (mrn). There is no way to go in ep 16 and get to Snow Bay in 6 hours. Not even if a power boat picks you up in Boulder Bay.
