Planning a trip to the South Arm of Knife on August 6th. Looking for any fishing advise for that area and adjoining lakes.

We went to the South Arm a few years ago. Went in the weekend of fishing opener (mid-May). We stayed at the campsite at the very end of the lake - the one near Toe. We fished the two bays. Caught walleye, northern, smallies and lakers. Trolled most of the time. Shore fishing was quite productive too. Leaches and crawlers. Got there via Sea Gull.

Check the maps section - honeyholes are noted and the campsites rated.

wa0yle,

What baits/colors did you have the best luck on while trolling? I'll be up there in early June.

They lures were Husky Jerks - a green one and a silver one

Camped there last year in the middle of July. Small Mouth action was excellent both off the shore of our campsite and well pretty much every where else we went. Caught a good sized walleye and northern both trolling. Eyes and trout were deep due to high water temp.
