I have gotten 5 in one day (SM, LM, Northern, Laker, Walleye) on two different lakes in the Q. I had everything but a smallie and realized it while eating fish at camp. After dinner and dishes were cleaned up, I went out and caught the smallie.

I suppose grand slam can mean whatever you want it to mean. But typically it involves four of something. In baseball its a homerun with the bases loaded - four runs are scored. In tennis it means winning all four major tournaments. In golf it means winning all four major championships. I've always considered a BW grand slam to be SMB/NP/W/LT. But adding LMB to the mix would certainly add a higher degree of difficulty. There is no rule book so it can be whatever you want. I agree with the one day concept.

I've done it quite a few times on multiple lakes on the same trip. I would try Knife lake if you want to get the slam on just one lake.
A real bw grand slam would be all native. Lake trout, walleye, white fish, pike. I guess you could sub eelpout in for whitefish when needed.

I did it back in 1988 on my second solo trip. Several lakes in Quetico though. McIntyre Laker, Sarah and Brent Smallies and Walleye. Northerns in many different lakes. I also caught a bunch of largemouth bass in an unamed lake I bushwacked into off of Sarah.
Good fishing trip that week. A lot happened on that trip including totalling my canoe. And I didn't bring a camera to cut back on weight. Stupid!
