With the warm weather forecast for this coming weekend, I was contemplating a day trip (possible one overnight) into the BWCA or close to it for some ice walleyes. Any recommendations on where a guy could walk to pulling a small sled to get on some fish. Don't want to hike 10 or 15 miles, but a few miles is fine. Moose lake? Fall lake? Others? Thanks!

Thanks to you both. Both very shallow lakes... interesting considering mid February. Coming from the range so probably look at Ely side of things. I should have specified. Keep em coming!

I paddled through Swamp lake and liked it very much.........quite different than most canoe country lakes.......looks like it would sustain a great variety of fish food and thus fish. I wished I would of fished it. It always stuck out to me........
