Are the cache lake foods available in any stores? I was just going to place an order and didn't really feel like paying $10 in shipping. Just wondering if you could get them in Ely someplace or if any of the major retailers carried them.

I can't tell where you're from, but if you're from Mpls/St. Paul or occasionally go there, I think Midwest Mountaineering carries some things. Worth a call: 612-339-3433.

I was traveling last year and wanted to pick product up as we went. I e-mailed them and they responded asap with a list of retail stores.

Off topic BUT Evenflow, are you a Pearl Jam fan?

To answer all of the questions...I live in Omaha, and yes I'm a pretty big pearl jam fan (their music but not necessarily their political views).

I thought Piragis had cache lake in Ely. Maybe call them to find out.

I know cache lake often sells out some items at retail stores, so maybe all Piragis to see if you can order early and just pick up your product when you arrive in Ely saving shipping and yet getting the items you want.

You may just want to go to their website and order from it. Sometimes they have closeouts or over runs from outfitters that cancelled orders. It may be cheaper to order this way and pay the freight rather than drive around and buy it at a retail price. Just my opinion. I found that some of the things that I ordered on line from them were cheaper than they were selling it at Canoecopia. The draw back to this is you might be limited in your selection. Izzy

They had them at our outfitter's. I'm guessing most would have them but I'd double-check before counting on it.
