I am experimenting with baking in a boiling bag.
I have a couple of reflector ovens. They only work when you can have fires. I have pretty much gotten out of the open fire business. I use single burner camp stoves. I really like biscuits. I have tried bisquick complete packets. You mix bisquick with a half cup of water in a freezer bag and put in boiling water covered for about a half hour. Its a little bit doughy. Some people recommend crock pot liner bags but they are kinda big. Does anyone else bake this way? I have heard of making eggs in a boiling bag, but not baking breads or cake.
Does anyone else do this?
I am going to try a Jiffy cake mix!

I saw a guy cook a fish in an automatic dishwasher once.

You may be on to something!

There are web sites dedicated to this. They do have some interesting recipes, but I have not tried them yet.

Check this thread out. I did this and made blueberry muffins. They turned out great and very easy to do. This thread went on to a long drawn out battle over safety of freezer bags and spawned 3 or 4 more discussions on them. But getting back to the cooking it works and is simple.

I know this is a fairly old post but when I saw this I started laughing. Tim the Tool Man Taylor did that on Home Improvement.... God knows I have always wanted to try it though....
