No, not even interested in the supermarket kind.
I hope you realize that all species of mussels are protected by law in Minnesota and many are endangered. If you happen to find some dead ones you can collect up to 24 whole shells if you have a fishing license, they are not classified as threatened or endangered, and they didn’t come from the St. Croix River.
I don’t think the dead ones are good to eat. Those rules are listed on page 78 of the 2012 MN Fishing Regulations.

If you put on some butter and garlic they are good. I was not aware that they are protected. I was thinking about the ones you buy in the seafood section. I hope someone comes up with a great recipe for Zebra mussels. Our lake has lots of them and I want them gone.

No, I had no idea. They sure aren't endangered in my lake. Can't walk in the water off my beach without stepping on a dozen.
Well, scratch that idea.
