Looking for an easy to prepare chicken and rice dinner using chicken in a foil package. I've found a couple under the Main Course sticky but looking for more options.

Thanks in advance.

Try a search at the trail cooking website

I am sure you'll find something there.

I had time to look some up. You might need to adjust for the size of the chicken packets, or just go heavy on the meat. Check the amt. of chicken the recipe is calling for.

Creamy Chicken Rice

Cheesy Chicken and Corn

BBQ Chicke Rice Wraps

There are lots more where those came from; I did a simple search for "chicken rice." I haven't eaten any of those, though.

This one has optional rice. I have had this one, and I like it a lot, and my whole family eats it.

Uncle Bens is now making a microwavable rice. I grab a bag place it in boiling water for 5 minutes or so. I dump out some of the water, add a package of instant chicken gravy and the package of chicken. Whatever spices you like and pour this over the rice..........

If you like some flavor in the woods, go for some chicken curry over Basmati rice.

I practice boiling the rice at home in my pot so I have the time right.

I use foil pack chicken with these packets of curry paste. It is dense paste to which you add water, bring to a boil, and then add the chicken. Does not get much easier. Because it is a paste rather than a sauce, it is relatively light weight. The one called Fish curry" is my favorite for both fish and chicken.

All,

Thanks for the recipes. Looks like I have cooking to do prior to our trip. I'm sure one of them will work.
