Great to hear your daughter wanted to go for more. That is what I am hoping my kids do in time. The end didn't sound the greatest though :( but could have been worse I suppose.

2 miss fire cylinders, swapped out coils, still doing it, tried to get plugs out, they are locked in tight, went to take it in and it went away . Mechanic said we can look at it, but might as well wait till it comes back so we know we are really fixing it, go figure
I would have either negotiated a discount on the canoe or walked away from it unless you got a super-good deal in the first place. Doesn't sound like a reputable business. There was no mention of the broken or cracked ribs in the listing? Did it include pictures? I purchased a used canoe from an outfitter this past winter. I was the last person to rent it last fall so I knew the condition. It was stored inside all winter.
