I am in Florida for a little while and looking for something new to do and ran across this event:

HANGCON – Hundreds of outdoors lovers and loungers comes from all over the country to enjoy warmer temperatures and good company at this free “largest hammock gathering in the country.” Hikers, bikers and campers can enjoy five days of tree dwelling, DIY classes, vendors selling camping and outdoors products, gear swap meets and great food among friends. Along with hammock life, tent and RV camping is also welcome this expansive wooded location in the heart of Hernando County. The event is fully funded by donations and raffle tickets for thousands of dollars in camping gear and equipment prizes.

Anyone here been to this? Is it worth the time to run over and look?

It looks like it would be a lot of fun. I just wish it wasn't so far away. and that I had more notices of it. I'll have to put it on my calendar for next year.
