I’m considering investing in a Tensa Trekking Treez Tensa Trekking Treez . It’s rarely an issue finding suitable trees in the BWCA but it has been an issue when hammock camping in other parts of the country. It’s a pricey piece of insurance so I was wondering if any of you folks have tried one and what your experience has been. I saw Shug did a nice video, which I appreciate, just looking for more feedback. In addition to the BWCA my wife and I are spending a couple weeks in the Yosemite area this fall, spurring my interest in one of these stands. Thanks for any insight.

The Tensa Treez are a very nice option when needed and you are dead-set on not going to ground. I usually carry only one if I think I'll be needing it. Using the Tensa pole in one hand and my Black Diamond pole in the other really did not feel weird. After an hour on the trail...a pole is a pole. You can see me camping with one at about 9:50 in this video below.
