03/14/2017 09:58AM I hang onto the old ones for comparison but I find the newer McKenzie's a bit easier to read in the field than the old predominately blue ones. Seem to show topography and lake depth lines a bit clearer for me. |

I agree! Mackenzie's are also a bit off on portage locations ( I still own many of these) so it's worth checking out new ones. |

03/13/2017 04:35PM If you have an old map just look st the maps section here and compare. I use old maps all the time, you will be fine. |

03/13/2017 03:39PM I love my old maps -2000 or older - especially the ones that have the hiking trails as well as lake info. Many have GSP points as reference and "side notes". They were especially important when folks were trying to re-establish the Pow-Wow Trail after the Pagami Fire and needed some reference points. |

03/13/2017 12:54PM I have McKenzie that are that old as well and still use them. If you have the blue style maps they have been updated since then with slightly more color and are a little easier to read in my opinion; however if you are going to the same area the old ones will work just fine. |

03/13/2017 12:27PM I'm guessing very little has changed, but you can always compare your maps with some of the online BW maps |

03/13/2017 11:26AM Took our first and only trip so far to the Boundary Waters in 2000. Really enjoyed it. Talking about taking our teenagers back this summer. Our maps are McKenzie maps from 1999. Do we need to replace them? Obviously the lakes haven't moved but have they redone the campsites so much that we need new maps? Thanks for your help. |
